Gulf CV maker

Employers and agencies in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain often expect details an Indian or European CV leaves out: a photo, nationality, visa status, passport and licences. Add them once; they appear only on the templates and CVs where you want them.

What a Gulf CV usually includes

DetailWhy it is askedHow to write it
PhotoMany recruiters and agencies expect one.Recent, plain background, formal clothes, face clearly visible.
NationalityVisa quotas and processing depend on it.“Indian”.
Visa statusTells them if you can join quickly.“Visit visa, valid till 20 Jan 2027”, “Employment visa (transferable)” or “In India, can travel”.
PassportNeeded for the work visa.“Valid till 2031”. Do not put the passport number on a CV you send widely.
Driving licenceRequired for drivers, sales and many site roles.“UAE light vehicle” or “Indian heavy + GCC heavy (Saudi)”.
Professional licencesHealth and engineering jobs need them to start work.Health licences such as DHA, DOH Abu Dhabi, MOHAP, SCFHS or QCHP, or a Prometric pass — with status and year.
LanguagesTeams are multinational.English, Hindi, Malayalam, Arabic — with an honest level for each.

Leave a field empty if an employer has not asked for it. Never send copies of your passport or visa unless you are sure the company and agency are genuine.

Experience that Gulf recruiters look for

  • Gulf experience first. Put GCC jobs at the top and name the country.
  • Equipment and systems. Vehicle types, machines, software (SAP, Tally, Cerner), tools.
  • Scale. Beds in a ward, rooms in a hotel, sites, fleet size, monthly sales.
  • Safety and compliance. HSE, NEBOSH/IOSH, infection control, food safety.

Watch out for job scams

Genuine employers do not charge for a job offer. Check the agency's licence (in India, registered recruiting agents are listed on the eMigrate portal) and never pay for “visa processing” to a personal account.

Questions

Do Gulf CVs need a photo?

Many Gulf employers and agencies ask for one, so the Gulf templates include a photo. If an advert says no photo, use an ATS-safe template instead.

Should I include my date of birth and marital status?

They are commonly asked for in Gulf hiring. Fill them in only if the employer expects them; the fields stay hidden when empty.

Can I make one CV for India and one for the Gulf?

Yes. Copy your CV, switch the copy to a Gulf template and add the extra details. Your jobs and education stay the same in both.

Can I write my name in Arabic as well?

Yes. Arabic text prints correctly in the PDF. Keep English as the main language of the CV.
